The Post Graduate Programme

This programme is for those who have attended the Facilitator's Development Programme. It builds upon the skills and understanding developed during the FDP and adds to them.

It assumes you are familiar with two specific models; the Client Centred Facilitation way of working and John Heron's Six Dimensions and Three Modes of Facilitation and that you incorporate these into your way of working.

It is a masterclass in facilitation and it is essential that your interest in facilitation is significant. It focuses on the human process and group dynamics. It takes you more deeply into the dynamics of groups and your relationship with participants. It takes the learning from the FDP on another step. You will need a deep interest in process to participate.

Significantly it also covers training others in facilitation skills and what is involved in doing this.

The programme includes peer to peer learning, each person attending runs sessions that are not only for your own practice but have the additional purpose of adding to the other participants' knowledge.

The pre-course preparation is greater than on the FDP and has a more central part to play in the overall programme. It forms a significant part of the programme and learning. It includes some reading and writing and also involves preparing two sessions.
